If you’ve got any spare comedy DVDs kicking about, you might want to send them to RIM: the BlackBerry firm could probably do with some cheering up. The firm’s tablet adventures are giving it a major pain in the wallet, and its troubles don’t appear to be over.

It’s been a bad week for Research In Motion (RIM). Its BlackBerry Playbook tablet was supposed to be an iPad killer, but it’s suffered from lukewarm reviews – and if that wasn’t bad enough, it’s emerged that RIM shipped hundreds of faulty Playbooks to a major US retailer.
