While HTC is busily promoting its seven-inch HTC Flyer Android tablet, details of a bigger, better bit of kit are starting to emerge. According to internet rumour sites a new tablet, codenamed the HTC Puccini, will launch later this year.

Asus is a fantastic company: its Eee PCs spearheaded the netbook phenomenon, and now its Eee tablets hope to capture a big chunk of the nascent tablet market.

Rumours of a multi-touch tablet from Amazon have been kicking around for more than a year: back in February 2010 Gizmodo reported that Amazon had bought multi-touch technology firm Touchco and was advertising jobs for display experts.
