Acer has not one, not two but three tablets it hopes will excite and delight you: the seven-inch A100, the ten-inch A500 and the ten-inch, Windows powered W500.

Could a no-name cheapie really rival Apple’s all-conquering iPad or Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 2? Of course it can’t. But if you’re in the market for a seven-inch Android tablet this one might be worth a look, especially if the networks offer it with a hefty subsidy.

Motorola’s going through something of a purple patch just now, with well-liked Android phones and now, an impressive Android tablet too. The Xoom won’t be cheap, but it’s one of the most interesting Android devices to date.
