While Amazon was getting to unveil the latest Kindle Fires, Kobo showed off the Arc: an Android tablet with a low price (£160) and a November release date. There’s a black one and a white one, but whichever you choose you’ll get a 7-inch, 1280×800 display powered by a 1.5GHz dual core processo

In addition to the Kindle Fire 2, Amazon unveiled two more Kindle tablets: seven-inch and 8.9-inch tablets it calls the Kindle Fire HD. For now the UK is only getting the seven-inch model, but that should be enough to worry Google: it costs the same as the Nexus 7 but beats it on a few key specifications

Good news for Amazon fans: the Kindle Fire tablet has finally made its way to the UK, and it’s been updated too: the Kindle Fire you see on Amazon’s home page is actually the Kindle Fire 2. The device will start shipping at the end of October, but you can pre-order it today
